Balicasag Island Snorkeling and Fish-feeding

Aside from watching the dolphins in their natural habitat, one should not miss snorkeling in Balicasag Island. Feeding the wild, colorful and beautiful fishes around you is one unforgettable experience worth trying. If you are a non-swimmer, you can use the life-jackets available on the boats taking you from Panglao to the island. You can then snorkel in shallow areas near the beach  but still abound with a lot of fishes of different types and colors.

About Balicasag Island
The island is part of the municipality of Panglao and is about 45 minutes to 1 hour trip by motorized boat from Alona Beach. It has a beautiful beach area, but not as powdery as in the main island of Panglao. Swimming, snorkeling and fist feeding are the most notable activities you can do on the island. It is a known dive spot also. It is said that Balicasag Island is shaped like a mushroom, an island with a smaller base supporting it.

Balicasag Island

There are a lot restaurants on the island where you can take your meals. They usually offer shrimps, squids, several kinds of fish and crabs among others, which tourists can then decide on how the staff of the restaurant will cook it. The price however for the meals is a bit expensive compared to restaurants on other areas in Bohol.

About the Virgin Island
